SUMMARY:Covid 19 Situation : Corona Relief Camp
DESCRIPTION:In India\, most of people are employed in low-income\, unstable jobs—the segment of the working population that is becoming the first to lose their jobs due to the pandemic. Left to face increased financial burdens\, they are becoming more fearful in not knowing where their next income will come from. They are even on the verge of thinking if their families will be able to survive this epic crisis. \nWith the loss of their livelihoods\, they are unable to pay for basic necessities including rent\, utilities\, and food. Also\, schools were often providers of meals for children\, now leaving these children at risk of facing hunger with schools closed. With fears of hunger\, homelessness\, and certain hopelessness on the rise for this already vulnerable population\, they need us now more than ever. Together\, WE CAN OVERCOME! Together\, WE ARE STRONGER. Big or small\, every effort counts and it will all have a great impact on someone’s life. \nWith this dire situation in mind\, We organized a campaign to provide as many people as we can here with food\, and utilities during the Coronavirus pandemic. We simply cannot leave this vulnerable population to face this hardship on their own\, and we know that especially in times of collective concern\, we must come together to protect those who are unable to protect themselves.

SUMMARY:Annual Function of the Organisation
DESCRIPTION:On 01-01-2020 at 6 p.m. an annual function of the Organisation covering all sections of beneficiaries\, Staff and Sympathizers were held in presence of directors and distinguished guests and guardians. The dignitaries and guests were garlanded by the Home children and other beneficiaries. There after annual function started. The inhabitants recited poems\, songs individually and jointly\, presented dance in various categories. The boys of Open Shelter also persented their best efforts in all wings of performances. The programme was coordinated by Smt. Srabani Chakraborty Program Coordinator.

SUMMARY:Anti Drug Day at Dakshin Para More\, Barasat
DESCRIPTION:Anti Drug Day was observed on 26th June 2019 at Dakshin Para More\, Barasat\, on the important junction of Jessore Road\, Barasat\, Kolkata- 124. Leaflet\, Road show\, and awareness lectures were given by the experts of IRCA of ASDO.  The day was observed in a befitting manner. The programme was attended by more than 50 people. Leaflets and booklets were distributed among the attendees. Most of them were of the opinion that they benefitted from the programme.
